Title: “Heaven and Nature Sing.”
Artist: John Bennett.
Medium: Acrylic and Markers.
Scripture: Psalm 96:11-13 NIV “Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. Let all creation rejoice before the Lord.”
Source of Inspiration: Heaven and Nature Sing by Sharon Brodin.
Reflection: When it’s Spring in Minnesota, we see all the earth around us coming alive. The air is fresher, birds are joyfully singing, plants are blossoming forth, and flowers bloom in all their glory. The Bible tells us the flowers do not labor or spin, yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Oh, how God must love us to create such a world! Jesus said; “Are not ye of much more value than they?” My inspiration for this painting is that since God is the Creator of all things, He has given everything a voice to return praise to Him. Scientists say that even the stars are singing! Of course, we’ve all heard the waves lapping at the shore, the bees humming, the bubbling creek and the thunder. Let everything praise His name!
Pray: Heavenly Father, we bless your Holy Name. We thank you for all that you have provided and for all the work you’re doing in and through our lives. Today we give ourselves fully to you, and we thank you for your awesome creation. Your blessings are too many to count. We pray all this through our risen Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
