Scripture: Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three stands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12 NIV.
Julia’s Faith Statement: With this verse I am emphasizing how it has been hard going through 2020. Most of us probably felt alone. We should not feel alone, because we can reach out to other people we trust and talk with them to see the bright side, confess fears, pray and reflect on the fact that God is with us in hard times.
I wanted the fist bump in my art to reflect a “we did it” feeling. It is a more fun handshake to say, “we made it through and are still together.” I put extra small written words in my drawing to share things that have happened. The verse in the background reflects how God has helped us. The scripture was placed there to speak to fellow classmates of how “a cord of three strands is not easily broken.”
